Materials - Unilock Brussels Block
pavers in a mix of colors in a random pattern were used on the
patio floor and Brussels Dimensionals were used to build the walls
and steps. The seat walls are capped with cut limestone from Lang
Stone. Tumbled, or distressed pavers look
very similar to real cobblestone but cost less.
Design: This client provided design included seat walls;
a smart way to get extra seating on a small patio.

Materials
- A
couple different types of discontinued pavers were used to help
stay within the budget of this Lewis Center client. Choosing treated
lumber for the steps at the sliding patio door also helped keep
cost down.
Design - A simple design with mostly
straight lines is another way to control cost on a paver patio installation. |

Materials - Tumbled
clay pavers in a herringbone pattern with tumbled concrete pavers
used for the border. A brick patio requires very little maintenance
with no chemical sealer needed to prevent color fade. A tumbled
paver offers an old world look to a patio that blends in well in
older neighborhoods such as Upper Arlington or Bexley.
Design - The contrasting soldier course highlights the
mirrored shape of the arched sun room on the back of this Upper
Arlington home. Larger pavers were set vertically around the rear
beds as an edging. This is a good way to keep the brick patio clean
from the debris that tends to blow around from the raised planting
beds around a patio. |

Materials - Wilson Cobble 5"x8" concrete pavers laid in a herringbone pattern with the same paver used for the soldier course border. This is an inexpensive paver that comes in several different color blends, this color chosen for this patio is called Autumn Blend. The concrete block used for the seat wall is Unilock Brussels Dimensionals.
Design - The goal was to maximize the outdoor space on this Westerville condo by expanding the existing concrete slab off of the walkout basement. The seat wall offers seating for a small patio with little room for additional furniture. |
